We had a lovely holiday in the cottage.  When we arrived Mike was there to meet us and as well as informing us of all the information we required about the overall day to day running of the house.  He was also very warm and welcoming on our arrival.  He wasn't intrusive in any way, left his 'phone number should we need to make contact with him and then left us to settle in.  Your house was spotlessly clean and the bedding ( which is important to me ) was also spotlessly clean.  Your kitchen provided everything that was necessary to make our stay as comfortable as possible and it was furnished with all the equipment we needed.  We spent a lot of time in there cooking and found your kitchen very cosy and comfortable.  Also I must comment on the warmth of your heating.  Not once did either of us feel cold in your house.  I found your accommodation on Google and I'm so glad I did because we had such an enjoyable time there.  We would gladly come back to your house if we ever found ourselves in Aberdeenshire again.  Never say never!  I will also be happy to endorse your house by 'liking' it on face book.  It would be my pleasure I assure you!  Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable and please thank Mike for his  lovely warm welcome.  We got out and about quite a lot during our short stay and managed to find the Supermarkets in Peterhead that were illustrated in your very informative Pre Information and Directions booklet.  All in all we had a superb holiday and found every requirement we could possibly want or need in your delightful cottage.

Stayed at Slains Cottage for one week. Received a very warm welcome and relevant information about the cottage. It was extremely well maintained with everything you need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Very cosy and homely.

Slains cottage was in an excellent location and was comfortable for our stay. We liked being able to walk to eateries and there were lovely walks.  The cottage was clean and the Keyholder made us welcome. Overall, Slains cottage was pleasant and met our needs.

Peaceful, Well Equipped, Convenient Accommodation. On arrival we were met by the Keyholder who showed us round the equipment and property . The property was very tidy and comfortable and well equipped. The holiday was very good due to the accommodation and location.

Have used this Cruden Bay house the past three years. It provides a Washer and Dryer with a kitchen to feel at home. It's location in Cruden Bay is 20 miles north of Aberdeen which is Central to a number of great golf courses and castles. There is just one bedroom but the two beds work for a pair of golfers.

2012

Perfect base for golfers in the North of Aberdeen area.  The clothes washer and dryer can be a lifesaver for a longer Scotland stay.  Easy drive to Royal Aberdeen, Murcar, Trump International, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and of course only a USA block away from Cruden Bay Golf Course

Totally satisfied with the accommodation, and the entire booking process. We were made to feel our custom was appreciated rather than being just a statistic. Good location for exploring that part of Scotland, and the village of Cruden Bay is literally just a few minutes walk away, so enjoy the local hotels/pubs and leave the car at home. I am back home now and have already told my pals what a wonderful time we had - 4 rounds of golf and never got wet - what a result !!!

Fantastic Beach.  Perfect for our needs.

We have just had the most amazing week at Slains Cottage.  I would definately recommend this to anyone as the location is perfect, the cottage is maintained to a very high standard and the people are so friendly and welcoming, we hope to be back again soon.

Good clean Cottage with all you could ask for. The cottage was as described, has all mod cons,fridge/freezer etc.  You can have a Welcome Pack there for when you arrive. The scenery is stunning.

Beautiful area, lovely beach, great walks, quiet friendly village. wild life is on your door step late at night, (watch out for the badgers and hedgehogs out of the kitchen window)

Myself and 2 Friends stayed there July 2011. It,s a lovely cottage really close to the Golf course and in walking distance of the beach. The cottage itself is clean, fully equipped and a cosy place to stay. We stayed at the cottage as we were playing golf and visited the site where the old salmon station used to be. Used it again in Oct 2012

We felt the cottage was the perfect size for us and even though we were there in winter it was a very warm house. The area is lovely, plenty of walks for us which was great and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the local takeaways! The kitchen was brilliant, everything you needed to cook and an excellent large fridge/freezer. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family
